MAKE CHRISTMAS HAPPEN

Valley County residents have an opportunity to help those less fortunate this Holiday Season.

The branches of a Christmas Tree at the Ord Township Library will be decorated with tags. Each tag contains a wish list of a child, suggested adult gifts, or household essentials.

People wanting to give during the Holiday Season can select tags from the tree, register the tag at the Library front desk and go shopping! The items need to be returned on the date requested on the tag. The Giving Tree will be available by mid November.

Cash donations are appreciated if people do not want to do additional shopping. These funds will be used to purchase any remaining essentials. Community volunteers will be assembling and distributing packages and household essentials the week before Christmas.

Differing from past years, MCH will focus on collecting household items such as Kleenex, shampoo, soap, etc. Knowing that The Food Pantry specifically takes on the food needs of our area, we fully support their mission and will focus our attention on the household items.

Make Christmas Happen is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization and operates independently from any other organization.

If you know of someone who would benefit from this program, please have them fill out an application. Applications are available mid October in Arcadia, North Loup and Ord at various locations including Ord Township Library. Applications are due back to the Library by the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
